Voter Registration Efforts in Full Swing

There is non-partisan voter registration effort blossoming in Westville led by Debby Evans and an eager team of volunteers.  There will be a voter registration table set up at the Edgewood  Farmer's Market every Sunday from 10 to 1 and at the City Hall/Church Street Farmer's Market every Wednesday from 11 to 2.  The Fair Haven Farmer's Market will also host a voter registration table when it opens later in July.  Volunteers, especially those who speak Spanish, are needed for all venues.  Currently, they are also asking for donations of stamps and the use of a good copier.  Please contact Debby at debbynewhaven@aol.com for further information.  (City Seed organizes the farmer's markets, which feature Connecticut grown, organic and pesticide-free food, and they are a great way to show support for our local farmers.)

Some things to remember:

  • If you have moved since the last election you need to update your voter registration.
  • The deadline for registering to vote in the Presidential election on November 4, 2008  is October 21, 2008.
  • This voter registration effort is non-partisan so please do not wear any political paraphernalia while volunteering.
